Explore the artistic expression of Japanese culture through calligraphy. Write your name or favorite words in Japanese which will be a great memory of your visit to Fukuyama.　

You can enjoy cherry picking in Hirata Farm. Miyoshi city in Hiroshima, where Hirata Farm is located, is blessed with an ideal environment to grow delicious fruits, having clear air and water, and a difference in the temperatures between nights and days. Fukuyama City is Japan's top producer of Koto. A standard music played on the New Year's Day, "Haru no Umi," literally "Spring Sea," was composed with a image of Tomonoura in Fukuyama. Experience playing Koto in Fukuyama, the top producer of the instrument. The instructor will explain the culture of Koto, and tell you how to play the instrument. After a fun lesson, you may be able to play a simple piece of music. An experience in kimono is available. (At a fee, reservation required.) You can come with empty-handed.　

Experience the manners of tea ceremony representing traditional Japanese culture, at Fukuju Kaikan designated as a registered tangible cultural property of Japan. Of course, you can appreciate the tastiness of matcha. An active tea ceremony instructor in Fukuyama will give you an easy-to-understand explanation about tea ceremony. Taste the tea you have made and Japanese confectionery. An experience in kimono is available. (At a fee, reservation required.)

Noh is one of the oldest traditional performing arts in Japan, designated as an intangible cultural asset. Noh is actively performed in Fukuyama City. Appreciate the charm of the traditional Japanese culture, Noh, through the explanation and performance of the instructor and reading a script as well. *You can come with empty-handed.

You can try on Japanese kimono in the historical and stately Fukuju Kaikan.Rose-shaped obi, kimono sash, is only available here. *Rose is the official flower of Fukuyama city. You can select your favorite kimono from several options.Wearing kimono is fun itself but you can have experiences such as playing "Koto" harp or attending tea ceremony in kimono.
